With this Presto, we find ourselves – together with Segura – subito presto in the Metro Division of the metropolis lifestyle. Urban, casual, versatile, with or without motorcycle, lots of power or maybe a little less… At the traffic lights, to the law, we are all kind of equal.
This Presto is a surprisingly robust motorcycle jacket. The exterior made of wear-resistant Serica certainly has something to do with that. It keeps it somewhere in-between distinct motorcycle gear and ‘regular’ textile. Together with the short cut and the removable hood in soft textile, this results in a just-the-right-amount-of-robustness city motorcycle jacket. Underneath the Serica exterior, there’s a waterproof membrane. A definite warranty for many more days of usability than you’d expect at first glance. The BWTECH membrane is integrated and strictly speaking, its breathing capacities do not get in the way of summery use whatsoever. The lack of direct ventilation seems to suggest that the Presto is not a fan of high temperatures. The SHELLTECH thermal lining is removable and helps bring up the heat a few degrees when the city streets are chilly and cold.
The Presto motorcycle jacket has a ‘body fit’ fit. This means: rather short. No racing jacket but definitely no touring jacket either. This also means you shouldn’t expect an endless array of adjustment options. Below, around the waist, there are three pushbuttons left and right which altogether deliver a couple of centimetres of wiggling room, but that’s about it. Those same row of pushbuttons can also be found on each sleeve end. The collar also has a pushbutton.
And while we’re at it: you can zip the hood on or off, depending on your preference, the weather, style and feel of the moment. It’s that effortless, indeed. The whole thing breathes some sort of flexible ruggedness. The buttons, the zippers, the Serica, it’s all good quality and solid without exaggerating and without falling short. You’re also well-protected because ALPHA elbow and shoulder protectors are standard. And CE-certified. Fitting a CE-approved back protector is no problem at all and just a matter of choice.
Four outer pockets and two inner pockets deliver a lot of storage room. Your wallet has its own personal pocket and there’s another additional storage compartment on the left upper arm. It seems evident to combine this motorcycle jacket with decent motorcycle jeans, so there’s no need for a connecting zip.
There's maintenance clothing and then there's clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after you buy it and enjoy your gear for longer.
We put the best tips & tricks on this maintenance page.
