Past, present and future...

At the service of the motorcyclist!

RAD NV was established in 1981 by Roos and Andre De Meyer.

RAD started distributing American "Vetter" fairings and Canadian "Triangle" luggage racks.
By adding over a thousand motorcycle products, the company grew quite rapidly.
After first being located in various places in Ghent, we moved to our current site on the industrial estate built in Drongen, in 1989.
That's when the ball really started rolling...
In 1995, the building was considerably renovated for the first time.

In 1983, we were also the founders of the European Kawasaki Small Engines division, with applications in various sectors.
This activity lasted until 1996, the year in which the Kawasaki Group itself took over these activities.
Subsequently, we were importers of Aprilia motorcycles and scooters, until the takeover of Aprillia by the Piaggio Group at the end of 2004, when Aprilia itself was in financial distress.

Since then, RAD has been a wholesaler of a range of well-known and lesser known brands, such as:
In the clothing and helmet department: REV'IT!, Shoei, Held, Schuberth, Modeka, Alpinestars, IXS, Hevik, Segura, Macna, Roleff, LS2, HJC, Daytona, Shark, Falco, Scorpion, etc...
In the accessories and technology department: Givi, Abus, BGS, Sena, Afam, Yuasa, Nitro, S100, Tomtom, Acebikes, Cardo, Interphone, Champion, Eurol, K&N, TRW, etc...

To further support the distribution of clothing and accessories, more RAD stores have been added since 1999.
Currently there are 8 RAD stores spread over Belgium with an total size of between 1,000 and 2,500 m².
Consumers can shop to their heart's content.

In 2005, an efficient and user-friendly RAD web store was added.

In 2010 we expanded our main warehouse in Drongen with 1200m². At the moment it covers over 5,000m2!

Today RAD is market leader in the motorcycle gear and accessories branche in the BENELUX!
