The Apex Air H2O is the ventilated, yet still waterproof textile jacket that completes the Apex collection. From the razor-sharp one-piece race suit to this summer-and-more variant, it's a wide spread. An apparent contradiction, too: either it’s ventilated and breathable, or waterproof. The Apex Air H2O is both. And both are good.
The Apex Air H2O is a mesh jacket with a removable waterproof membrane. And a sporty design. Well equipped with mesh panels on arms, chest and back, with a 'chassis' that thanks to the mix of wear and abrasion resistant materials (600D and 300D hexagonal) forms a reliable structure. And there's not much else you need.
The sleeves have a push button at upper arm level to adjust the width and the waist is adjustable by means of long velcro strips. This is especially useful when you use or don't use the removable hydratex®|Lite membrane. The membrane is by the way a very comfortable one. Contact with the skin is clearly more comfortable than we were used to.
The Apex Air H2O is therefore a very versatile motorcycle jacket. A sporty looking all-rounder. The external elbow pads from pure racing are gone, the TPU shoulder sliders are still there. The rest of the impact protection remains excellent: SEESMART® Level 1 CE protectors on the shoulders and elbows, and those who wish can optionally fit a SEESOFT® CE back protector or SEESOFT Air® CE back protector. A step lower than the circuit, which of course is reflected in the competitive price. To be clear: a step below track level is still more than sufficient for normal use on public roads.
The sleeve ends got a stripe of velcro, the adjustment possibility at the waist consists of a drawstring. At the collar and the upper arms, REV'IT! chooses snaps.
The cut of the Apex Air H2O is logically more "textile" than that of its tighter, sharper leather brothers. Traditionally the back is also a bit longer than the front, although it is obvious that inspiration comes from the short racing jackets and motorcycle suits.
Reflective material is present in the form of a subtle element at the bottom of the back.
The short connection zipper and double Belt Loop allow you to pair the jacket with a pair of motorcycle jeans or textile REV'IT!
