The Slingshot is a back protector that can be worn separately. It sits literally and figuratively in a light and comfortable mesh jacket and serves strictly as an upgrade of the standard impact protection from the DIRT SERIES.
The philosophy of that line of motorcycle clothing is that every piece has one task. Protect. Keep you dry. Keep you warm. Be a motorcycle jacket. Be a protective vest. Never all together, in one package. Two at the most, if we don’t count ‘stay comfortable’ and ‘be flexible’. That also means that it is important to decide and choose for yourself within those DIRT-SERIES what is sensible, necessary and appropriate for the adventure you're riding towards. And if that is 'a high degree of protection', then this Slingshot fits that perfectly. Especially since - taking into account all kinds of other factors - the DIRT motor jackets can't be equipped standard with an integrated back protector.
This Slingshot is therefore an addition and an upgrade, to level 2 and to a SEESOFT™ RV protector. The latter is part of a smart design and ease of use. You wear the Slingshot underneath your motorcycle jacket, like a backpack, with the provided shoulder loops. Adjustable, wide, elastic and equipped with a transverse chest strap, this should not be a problem. The integrated kidney belt is an additional security feature.
The materials used are neoprene and especially 3D-mesh and Hicom-mesh, so sweating ... should actually not be an obstacle.
