If it's really that hot that you're considering leaving your jacket at home, opt for the Tracer Air instead. This is full-blown motorcycle clothing disguised as a shirt.
All mesh, how can that be protective, you wonder. Well, rightly so, but a tad short-sighted. REV'IT uses PWR|mesh (triple stitching) and went to great lengths to give the outer fabric the impression (the air - got it?) of fashionable streetwear. It worked well. If you look closely, you can see the open structure that allows the wind to pass through.
To be clear: strictly speaking (in Belgium) it is enough to ride with your arms covered. So, in your pajamas. The Tracer Air raises that to a whole new level, although that doesn't mean you have to use it to improve your lap time on the track or to ride an entire day on the highway. This is a garment for touring, making the occasional stop, moving around town or taking a short ride on warm days.
Additional protection is provided by SEESMART CE-level 1 protectors on the shoulders and elbows. If you want extra protection, you can upgrade the Tracer Air with a SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector. And that's pretty close to a full-fledged motorcycle jacket.
REV'IT is known for its snug fit and cut. Not too much flapping around, in other words. The jeans loop as combination option is obvious, though the short connection zipper allows for many other options. There are chest and inner pockets for storage, but of course you can't expect miracles here.
There is maintenance clothing and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. Invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
