The ABUS Granit Detecto XPlus 8077 is an electronic brake disc lock with an alarm based on 3D-detection. As soon as the motorbike is moved, an alarm will be activated with a voice of more than 100 dB. There are several acoustic signals: for battery status, activation and the alarm itself.
This lock is equipped with the famous ABUS XPlus cylinder. It has been awarded Security Level 18, which means it offers very good protection in high theft risk areas. The Granit Detecto XPlus 8077 Disc Brake Lock is easy to use. The alarm is activated after the lock senses the brake disk for 2 seconds during application. After activation, a red light continually flashes to show that the bike is protected - and thus acts as a deterrent.
This compact lock fits easily into a small tank bag or under most seats. It comes with a handy storage pouch and two keys, one of which has an LED light to make it easy to find the key hole in the dark. Two AAA batteries are included, so you can use the lock immediately after unpacking. It does NOT come with a memory cable, to remind you to remove the disc brake lock. The lock gives a warning when the bike is removed from the side stand.

RAD tip: make a habit of putting your brake disc lock always on the front wheel. That's where a potential thief will see it more easily. Which is fine; a lock always has a deterrent effect. But it's also the place where you're most likely to notice it yourself too, when approaching the bike.
You wouldn't be the first to pay for a too hastily departure with a twisted brake disc or a dented tank.
Attention: This disk brake lock contains 2 easy to replace AAA batteries. Replace the batteries when the LED is flashing orange or red, as follows:
"LOW battery" Rapidly flashing orange LED. Activation is indicated after 4 seconds with a 'BEEP' signal. The alarm is still fully functional, but the batteries should be replaced soon.
"Very LOW battery" Rapidly flashing red LED, followed by 3 short 'BEEP' signals. Activation is indicated by a 'BEEP' signal after 6 sec. Functioning of the alarm can no longer be guaranteed. The batteries must be replaced as soon as possible.
