Champion is a well-known producer of quality oil filters. High-quality parts and a margin of error that is as good as zero lie at the basis of their reputation. The French-American company can therefore boast a seriously good status in motor sports which goes back to the first Ford T-models from 1915.
Delivering maximum performance on and off the road is the basic objective today and their oil filters seem to do just that. Doing better than the standard and minimum requirements has become a constant.
Unique filtering paper impregnated with specific fibres gives the Champion oil filters a filtration capacity that guarantees carefree riding pleasure.
The oil filters can easily be replaced by yourself. They are made according to the specifications of the engine manufacturers, so a snug fit is ensured. Their main function is to filter harmful particles from the engine oil, which has a direct effect on the life and performance of your engine.
Most of Champion's external oil filters are available in either a black or chrome finish.
(Dis)assembly
It isn't easy to recommend which wrench you should buy to remove the current oil filter, because it is impossible to know which type is currently in use on your motorcycle. Disassembly is best done by hand, or with a universal wrench. In extreme cases - and we like to emphasize that last word - you can also achieve something with a tap of a screwdriver.
Mounting the new oil filter is best done with this wrench. An universal wrench may also be useful.
