AAA for anyone who thought that was unaffordable
The GMS Atlanta is a motorcycle jean with the highest possible CE rating: AAA, certified according to EN17092-2:2020. The combination of that level of protection and this price is remarkable. AAA certification is usually the territory of race suits and bulky motorcycle trousers. The Atlanta proves it can be done differently. In several styles, even.
Who are these motorcycle jeans for?
The Atlanta suits the commuter or city rider who rides every day and does not want to compromise on protection level. The Atlanta is available in a regular and a slim fit. If you prefer a straight, classic cut, choose the regular. If you like a slightly tighter feel on the legs, go for the slim. The GMS Atlanta motorcycle jeans are not waterproof: when it rains, you switch to rain trousers.
Material and construction
The Atlanta combines 60% cotton, 30% polyester, 8% polyamide and 2% Lycra in a single layer of fabric. Kevlar reinforcement at the knees is built directly into that one layer, without a separate lining. The Lycra in the base fabric adds a light stretch that makes adapting to the riding position easier. The high waistband provides extra coverage for the lower back, which is naturally useful on the bike.
Protection
AAA certification is the highest level a motorcycle jean can achieve and stands for maximum wear-resistance in an impact. CE-certified knee protectors (level 1) come as standard and can be adjusted in height. CE-certified hip protectors (level 1) are also included. At AAA level, hip protectors are mandatory.
Size range
The GMS Atlanta is available in a broad size range, each in multiple leg lengths. Consult the size chart for the full overview per version.
The opinion of our RAD specialist
An AAA-certified motorcycle jean at this price… With AAA, we are already close to and even on the racetrack, so it remains remarkable that a motorcycle jean like the Atlanta exists at all. Never mind the price. Let alone in different versions and with barely a single layer of material. The Atlanta looks like an ordinary pair of jeans and feels like one too. Anyone holding it for the first time might suspect there is one “A” too many on the label, but there is not.
If you ride your motorcycle every day and like doing so in jeans, you deserve motorcycle jean trousers that truly protect. And with this one, you will also get through the rest of the day comfortably — we consider the rides there and back on the motorcycle to be the highlights of a day, and everything in between as, well ‘just in-between’.
