Outer material

The “Outer material” specification indicates which fabric the motorcycle jeans are made of. The outer fabric is usually much more abrasion-resistant than standard jeans fabric and therefore plays an important role in safety. Additionally, the fabric can contain extra materials such as:

• Thermolite: an insulating material that retains heat without adding weight, ideal for cooler conditions.
• Coolmax: a breathable material that wicks moisture away from the skin, keeping you dry and comfortable in warm weather or during intense riding.
• Elastane: provides stretch in the fabric, allowing more freedom of movement and a better fit without reducing protection. The higher the elastane percentage, the more stretchable the fabric.
