Race DNA in a ventilated motorcycle jacket
The Alpinestars T-GP Air Jacket brings MotoGP technology to the public road. The aerodynamic hump is designed to pair perfectly with a Supertech R10 helmet. A set of external DFS sliders and Level 2 protectors form the foundation of this sporty ventilated motorcycle jacket. For riders who want race-level protection on warm days, this is a serious choice.
Who is this motorcycle jacket for?
The T-GP Air Jacket targets sporty riders who mainly ride in warm weather. Think of summer tours on twisty roads, track days where ventilation is essential, or simply the daily commute when temperatures rise. The pre-curved sleeves and sporty cut suit an aggressive riding style.
Waterproofing is absent here, and that is deliberate. The T-GP Air is a true ventilated motorcycle jacket: maximum airflow, minimal protection against the elements. In rain, take a separate motorcycle rain jacket.
Perforated textile with mesh panels
The construction combines 450D poly-textile with laser-perforated panels on chest, back and arms. 2D and 3D mesh panels ensure constant airflow. The result is a lightweight motorcycle jacket that makes optimal use of the riding wind.
The Supertech R10 aero hump on the back is a direct reference to the matching motorcycle helmet. The aerodynamic profile reduces drag and increases stability at higher speeds. Combining both products maximises the benefit of this design.
Synthetic suede at the collar and cuffs increases comfort and prevents irritating rubbing.
What about protection?
The T-GP Air Jacket is CE-certified to EN 17092, Class A. That classification suits a ventilated motorcycle jacket. The impact protection elevates it well beyond the expected level.
- Shoulder and elbow protectors: Nucleon Flex Pro, CE Level 2. This is the highest level, normally reserved for more expensive or fully enclosed motorcycle jackets.
- Racing GP DFS sliders: external Dynamic Friction Shields on shoulders and elbows. They reduce friction in a slide and protect the underlying protectors.
- Back and chest protector: not included, but prepared to fit one.
- Tech-Air Ready: this motorcycle jacket is compatible with all Tech-Air airbag systems.
- Reflective detailing: enhances visibility in low light.
Sporty fit with race ergonomics
The T-GP Air Jacket follows a distinctly sporty cut. Pre-curved sleeves match the riding position on a sportbike. The extended back panel provides extra coverage in the typical forward-leaning riding posture.
- Cuffs: autolock zips that won't open accidentally and connect seamlessly to race gloves
- Collar: Velcro closure with oversized pull tab for operation with gloves
- Waist: adjustable via Velcro flaps
Maximum ventilation for warm days
Without a membrane or thermal lining, the T-GP Air is fully focused on airflow. The laser perforations and mesh panels provide constant ventilation across the entire surface. This is a motorcycle jacket for dry, warm days.
Practical details
- Multiple pockets with zips, both internal and external
- Belt loops for connection to motorcycle trousers
- Extended back panel for coverage in sporty riding position
Accessories and parts

The opinion of our RAD specialist
The T-GP Air Jacket is an interesting choice. Alpinestars combines race elements (aero hump, DFS sliders, autolock cuffs) with a lightweight ventilated construction. That is rare. Just like Level 2 protectors in a ventilated motorcycle jacket with Class A certification. The A rating naturally focuses on wear-resistance, while the impact protectors are absolutely top level. Compatibility with all Tech-Air airbag systems makes this motorcycle jacket future-proof and adds an extra safety dimension. This is not an all-rounder by design: do not expect waterproofing, and the lack of a thermal lining limits the seasons. On the other hand, this is serious race technology for sporty riding on warm days. The real value lies in that combination of ventilation and top-level protection.
