CE-certified protectors are classified by levels based on their shock absorption. The higher the level, the better the protection in a crash.

• Level 1 – Basic protection: Absorbs up to 20 kN (max ~35 kN on the body). Thin and flexible, suitable for normal street riding.
• Level 2 – Extra protection: Absorbs up to 50 kN (max ~9 kN on the body). Sturdy and robust, ideal for higher speeds or sporty riding.
• Difference: Level 2 dampens impact roughly twice as well as Level 1, but feels stiffer.
