The HELD eVest 2 is the second generation of HELD's electronically activated airbag system. This update introduces two major improvements: full mesh front panels for maximum ventilation and a D3O Level 2 back protector that adds passive protection to the active airbag system.
The eVest 2 operates autonomously thanks to the In&box module from In&motion. After purchasing the vest, you register your choice of purchasing or leasing the In&box through the In&motion app. The In&box is then shipped directly to your home by In&motion.
You wear the airbag vest underneath your motorcycle gear, close everything using the central zipper, and the system activates automatically. No physical connection to the motorcycle is required. The In&box continuously analyzes your riding behavior using built-in sensors and automatically deploys the airbag in the event of an accident. The airbag protects the abdomen, chest, back, and neck. Deployment time is just 0.06 seconds.
The mesh panels at the front and rear improve airflow, making the eVest 2 more comfortable during long rides and warm weather conditions. Inside, 3D Air Mesh panels on the back provide additional ventilation. A non-slip waistband keeps the vest securely in place. Stretch materials ensure a comfortable fit while allowing full freedom of movement.
The D3O back protector (Level 2, EN 1621-2:2014) is the second major difference compared to the original eVest. This rigid protector provides additional safety even when the airbag is not deployed. Loops inside the lining allow the vest to be connected to compatible motorcycle jackets using the zipper connection adapter (article 92390, sold separately). HELD Clip-in Technology enables integration with other HELD products. The airbag system itself complies with EN 17092-6:2020.
Important! In&motion subscription required
Using the HELD eVest 2 airbag system requires an In&motion subscription. After purchasing the vest, you register your choice of purchasing or leasing the In&box through the In&motion app. The In&box is then shipped directly to your home by In&motion.
Once received, activate your In&box and choose one of the following options:
- Regular Purchase Option: €400 one-time payment, including a 2-year warranty, free software updates, and the My In&box app (iOS/Android) to monitor battery status, connectivity, and updates.
- Revolution Lease Option: €120 per year or €12 per month, including unlimited warranty, free software updates, the My In&box app, no long-term commitment, replacement within 72 hours in case of issues, and the option to purchase the In&box later.
- Optional Track or Adventure Mode: €8 per month or €25 per year. Activate this mode through the app for track or off-road riding.
- ADAC Benefit: ADAC members receive the first 6 months free with the lease option and then pay €60 per year instead of €120.
- Refer a Friend: Refer a friend using your personal code and both of you will receive 3 months of free In&motion membership. Twelve referrals earn you 3 years of free membership.
What's in the box
The package contains the eVest 2 and one inflator (gas cartridge). The In&box is supplied separately by In&motion after registration of your purchase or lease option.
After airbag deployment, the system can be made ready for use again by replacing the inflator cartridge.
