The GMS Ride is a classic jet helmet for motorcycle riders who want a simple and affordable brain bucket for daily use. GMS is mainly known for its sharp price‑to‑quality ratio, and the Ride fits perfectly into that tradition.
There is a (pleasant) retro vibe to the Ride – as it should be for a real ‘bucket’ – but this motorcycle helmet obviously meets the ECE 22.06 standard. This is a no‑nonsense jet helmet with the necessary features. The GMS Ride always comes in handy.
The motorcycle helmet shell is made of polycarbonate. That results in a lightweight construction that remains impact‑resistant without driving up the weight. GMS uses two motorcycle helmet shell sizes to accommodate the different motorcycle helmet sizes, meaning every size remains compact and does not turn out unnecessarily large.
The transparent, scratch‑resistant, tinted visor flips down (manually) when the sun gets too bright. This sun visor provides immediate protection without having to stop to put on sunglasses. It can offer some protection too, although the GMS Ride remains an ‘open face’ helmet, of course. Flipping it back up is just as quick. The micrometric closure with Microlock system provides an adjustable fastening that you operate easily.
The interior of this jet helmet consists of antiseptic, washable materials. Both the cheek pads and lining are separately removable, making maintenance straightforward.
Recesses on the left and right ensure glasses wearers can wear the Ride comfortably without the arms of your glasses creating pressure points.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the exterior. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
