The Alpinestars Flight Air Jacket resembles a ventilated bomber jacket and behaves like one too. The ribbed stretch cuffs at the collar, cuffs and waist reinforce that impression. The name seems to additionally suggest where Alpinestars drew the inspiration from. Yet the Flight Air Jacket is indeed a full-fledged ventilated motorcycle jacket. CE A-class certified, Tech-Air ready and equipped with shoulder and elbow protectors.
This motorcycle jacket from Alpinestars' MO.ST.EQ collection is built for summer days in the city. There is no talk of extra layers or linings and the base construction consists almost entirely of 3D-mesh panels on chest, back and sleeves. Polyfabric reinforcements on shoulders, forearms and central back provide wear-resistance where it makes sense, and form the framework for the ventilation structure.
Apart from those functionalities and technical features, this is nevertheless – or perhaps even firstly? – a style choice. The externally accessible protector pockets make it perfectly possible to easily remove the Nucleon Flex Plus protectors (CE level 1) on shoulders and elbows as soon as you dismount. After which you are actually on your way with a real bomber jacket. If you prefer something with more protection on the other hand, that is possible too: an optional back protector can be perfectly integrated (with a system to keep the protector close to your body).
The various Tech-Air airbag systems are compatible.
The pre-formed sleeves naturally follow your riding position. You can fine-tune the fit a bit by means of a press stud on the forearms. Furthermore, a bomber jacket is naturally equipped with the typical ribbed or knitted cuffs. Including the collar, in this case.
Thumb loops in the cuffs keep the sleeves in place under your motorcycle gloves. An inner pocket provides space for the essentials. Internal connection loops make attachment to a trouser belt possible.
