A laminated motorcycle jacket that does not give away its price
A laminated membrane in an adventure/touring motorcycle jacket usually indicates the category of the price tag. The Held Tavino Top disrupts that expectation with a 2.5-layer laminate with a HELD-TEX climate membrane, D3O protectors and a removable thermal inner vest, all in a motorcycle jacket that is clearly not priced in the top segment. Anyone looking for a versatile motorcycle jacket that can be used often will discover a serious candidate here.
Adventure and touring, from spring to early autumn
The Tavino Top is widely usable: adventure riders who like switching between paved and unpaved roads can take it on an enduro weekend, while touring riders who value comfort and weather protection over sportiness will also get on well with it. This motorcycle jacket is ideal for the period from spring to early autumn.
2.5-layer laminate, HELD-TEX membrane
The outer shell of the Tavino Top is built as a 2.5-layer laminate: the HELD-TEX membrane is bonded directly to the inside of the outer shell, with a thin protective finish on the inside instead of a separate lining. As a result, the outer shell does not absorb water and the motorcycle jacket stays light, even in prolonged rain.
The HELD-TEX membrane in the Tavino Top motorcycle jacket is waterproof, windproof and breathable. The thermal bodywarmer (without sleeves) is removable.
Protection
The Tavino Top is certified at AA level (EN 17092:2020). The shoulder and elbow protectors are D3O T5 Evo, adjustable in height and CE-certified to level 1. A back protector is not included, but it can be added. There is also an attachment point for an optional chest protector. The motorcycle jacket is prepared for HELD’s electronic airbag systems (eVest and eVest PRO).
Ventilation and weather protection
Ventilation works through direct air openings at the front and rear (ACS). At the back, 3D mesh panels help airflow. The inside has a mesh lining as well, which also benefits climate control.
When riding in warm conditions, the system offers enough ventilation in this motorcycle jacket to keep temperatures manageable. In cold or wet weather, you close everything off and let the HELD-TEX membrane do the rest.
Comfort and fit
The sleeve width is adjustable in two places, and there is also a waist adjustment. The collar is softly finished. Through the SnapTech system, a hood or collar extension can be added. The motorcycle jacket is available in sizes S to 5XL.
Practical details
The Tavino Top motorcycle jacket has two waterproof outer pockets and a card or document pocket. Reflective elements improve visibility in the dark. A connection zip allows it to be combined with a matching or nearly matching motorcycle trouser.

The opinion of our RAD specialist
The Held Tavino Top does what a good adventure/touring motorcycle jacket should do: protect in the rain, ventilate in the heat and remain adjustable enough to provide comfort in all those situations.
The laminate is the strongest argument here. Anyone who has ridden for a few hours wearing a motorcycle jacket whose outer shell gets soaked knows that saturation eventually sets in. And that you end up carrying a few extra kilos of water. Any reason to avoid that is a good one.
The level 1 D3O protectors are functional and comfortable, but anyone who wants the maximum can replace them with level 2 versions. The value for money is striking for a laminated motorcycle jacket.
