The GIVI Monokey M10 top case plate sets a new benchmark when it comes to top case mounting plates, but at the same time it unfortunately misses out on a major opportunity.
The concept itself is excellent, and the biggest difference compared to earlier Monokey plates lies in the integrated anti‑vibration system. Rubber pads, cushions, and silent blocks ensure that the top case stays steady, quiet, and comfortable in its position. No rattling, no nervous reaching behind you to double‑check that everything is still secure, and no second‑guessing whether you really locked the case just because of the extra clattering while riding.
In terms of motorcycle rider comfort, this is a new standard. Which makes it all the more disappointing that the ALASKA top case series (ALA56A/B and ALA44A/B) are NOT compatible with it. A missed opportunity.
The construction itself is solid. The aluminium components that lock your top case into place (nose and ‘mushrooms’) have been redesigned. Where a traditional top case is made from a single element, this plate combines heavy‑duty nylon, rubber, and aluminium to minimise vibrations. It is definitely an upgrade but (for now) you’ll still need the right compatible Monokey top case to use it.
Always check compatibility before ordering.
