This MODEKA August 75 is an anniversary edition. You’ll guess Modeka’s age from that and the amount of knowhow and experience that comes with it. This August 75 has captured large portions of all of this, which results in a fun leather motorcycle jacket.
A motorcycle jacket for a variety of summery adventures, we’d say. Casual, touring, urban too … This is no world traveller. The August 75 prefers the occasional terrace and can bear the sporadic coffee break. In between those, he’ll guarantee marvellous, comfortable protection in a gorgeous retro style.
The cowhide leather is shiny and the double white stripe on the shoulders fits the retro feel. The back of the August 75 covers the lower back to enable a comfortable sitting position on the bike. The Belt Loop can be another addition to this.
Everything breathes quality: the leather, the zips on the sleeve ends, the push button on the collar. Quality cowhide leather provides – apart from a sleek look – a lot of protection. Leather and water are not the best of friends and a meticulous scan teaches us that the perforated leather will mostly appreciate dry riding conditions. This means, though, on the other hand, that the ventilation properties are fine: AirFlow (the perforated panels) and AirZip (a ventilated panel behind the central zipper) warrant that you’ll arrive at your destination fresh and bright with the August 75. On the other, other hand, this means that the August 75 is not waterproof and that an extra thermal lining wouldn’t add much to this summery motorcycle jacket.
Thanks to a zipper with pushbutton on every sleeve end, you can choose whether to wear your motorcycle gloves under or over this jacket. There is a couple of centimetres of play on the left and right in your waist, with just as many pushbuttons. Further, be sure to choose the correct size because a motorcycle jacket like this one doesn’t have too many extra adjustment options. There’s impact protection in the shape of SW®-protectors on the shoulders and the elbows. Level 2, CE EN 1621-1:2012 and together with the general qualities of this motorcycle jacket, this delivers an AA-protection level.
A back protector can be fitted optionally.
The August 75 has three outer pockets with zipper and three more inner pockets, also with zipper. You can fit plenty to never have to arrive anywhere empty-handed and carry everything you need with you.
Motorbike shoes, a decent motorcycle helmet and motorcycle jeans will complete this outfit.
