The Manhattan H2O has a place within REV'IT!'s Metropolitan collection, and the fact that Manhattan is effectively part of the New York metropolis is no coincidence: a competitive price, urban atmosphere, the modern commuter in the spacious urban environment; this is both trendy and technical.
And waterproof. That seems logical considering the parka cut but we like to mention it again. Because that way we can talk about the integrated Hydratex® membrane hidden under the 600D polyester outer shell. So, it's not removable, something that does apply to the extra thermal lining at your disposal. The combination results in a durable motorcycle jacket that can withstand a wide range of conditions. The fact that high summer doesn't really coincide with the parka season explains why REV'IT! doesn't provide ventilation zippers.
The hood is removable, and if you prefer not to do that, you can fasten it at the back with a push button when on the move. About being on the road, we like to tell you that this Manhattan H2O, with its long parka cut, does not really come into its own on the average R1 or CBR. This lends itself just a bit more to a large scooter or a motorcycle on which you sit with your back straight. With that in mind you can see two vertical zippers at the bottom, to keep the bulging effect within limits, but of course this will always be a long motorcycle jacket.
Or a parka to ride a motorcycle with. Maybe that's a better description? There is little doubt about the style and design. But you can also say the same about the durable fabric and the presence of SEESMART™ CE-level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors. If you wish you can also fit a SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector.
Although black is the main color, REV'IT! has also incorporated a number of reflective elements. Integration isn't really the right word: REV'IT! opted for laminated logos in accents that serve their purpose when needed, and otherwise excel in subtlety.
The context in which you mainly use this parka-with-motorbike ambitions, makes the combination with a good pair of motorcycle jeans preferable.
