The S-Drak 2 is the logical successor to the Shark S-Drak. We always expect the successor to be better and Shark adheres to this principle by improving a number of points. Furthermore, this remains a retro jet helmet. The manufacturer calls it 'Neo-retro', because this is a contemporary and up-to-date motorcycle helmet that will charm the custom/naked lovers, although everything is possible.
Attention, because this is indeed a jet helmet! It comes with an updated, removable chin strap which gives the S-Drak 2 a more full-face helmet look, but this is primarily a visual element, not a protective feature. It snaps on and off in a matter of seconds. On the S-Drak 2, you use the button on the left and right for that! So don't just pull and drag!
The homologation remains: jet helmet. Not: full-face helmet. So you don't ride in one go to your holiday destination on the highway in this. Quiet touring, looking around, launching at a traffic light, that is it. Absolutely. The city, pleasant weather, a quick or short trip, or both, on a bike that stays under or around a 500cc capacity, you get the idea.
Two fiberglass helmet shells hold all helmet sizes. The intention is to deliver a compact and light motorcycle helmet. With 1300 grams - chin guard and integrated visor included - it seems to have succeeded. Ventilation openings in a jet helmet would be a bit too much. The opposite is less true: with an integrated sun visor and the extra chin guard you don't just give the whole a different look, in terms of protection against the elements this surpasses the average jet helmet. Again: against the elements, because this remains a jet helmet in spite of that full-face helmet appearance.
The visor is new, scratchproof, treated against fog and equipped with a - also renewed - Microlock system. Shark also succeeds in making the chin guard and lowered visor fit to each other better.
The washable and removable lining is antibacterial and moisture wicking. Those who wear glasses will be happy with the 'shark easy fit' cutouts. The chin strap has an adjustable micrometric closure.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
The reflective stickers required in France to stick on the helmet are included. Remember to register your new Shark helmet after purchase on http://www.shark-helmets.com and benefit from a 5-years warranty*. Use the code found on the warranty card that comes with every new Shark helmet.

Safety first! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from street lights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
