The Metropole is the urban jet helmet from HEVIK. Low-threshold, very accessible - even in terms of price - and absolutely high-performance. With an integrated sun visor.
The helmet shell is made of polycarbonate: low in weight, low in price, highly effective in terms of protection. Two helmet shells hold the different helmet sizes and that adds up to 1200 grams, give or take, which for a jet helmet with two visors is not too much.
Both in form, style and design, the Metropole looks contemporary. It also has everything on board to fully live up to that first impression. A slidable top ventilation system keeps your head cool, thanks to the transparent, long visor which closes with a rubber strip and a black visor rim. It's an anti-scratch visor, that goes without saying, and slightly convex too, responsible for the overall look and style of this of this motorcycle helmet.
The hinge points of the transparent visor look identical, but on the left side the operation of the integrated sun visor can be found there as well: just like a big turning knob, you can lower the tinted visor. The sun visor is limited to covering the eyes and is about half the length of the transparent version just in front of it. Together this provides more than enough protection against weather, wind, sun, insects and everything else that comes at you in the city.
In the city, indeed. It is especially there that the Metropole - what's in a name - makes the most of its assets. The comfortable, soft and adjustable chin strap is an extension of the helmet shell and a visual reminder of the retro-jar helmets of yesteryear. The micrometric buckle is absolutely solid and easy to operate. The lining is anti-allergenic and can be removed almost entirely. Cheek pads included.
The result is a complete, very practical and easy to use jet helmet. And at a price you can never produce it yourself.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from street lights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. In rainy weather this effect is even more pronounced. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to bring a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
