Jet helmets come in a diverse variety, from the inverted boiling pot to the IXS 99 1.0. Sort of. Although it's true that the matte black IXS 99 1.0 provides a lot of comfort at a competitive price.
The helmet shell in polycarbonate includes all helmet sizes and is - thanks to a new painting technology - matte black in color. The light plastic totals a total weight of 1450 grams, but that's including the technical gadgets.
The double top ventilation, for starters. You can open or close it separately - even with gloves on. At the back the wind disappears through the double opening in the aerodynamic spoiler. Air circulation is not unimportant with the IXS 99 1.0, because the transparent visor is remarkably long. It covers your entire face and clicks into place at the bottom, which actually makes it possible to turn onto the highway in all comfort.
Also present: an integrated sun visor. The lever - sturdy, robust - is on the left side and you don't have to take off your gloves for this either. The tinted visor is about half the length of its transparent counterpart, and you can use them both together or separately.
A length-adjustable Microlock ensures safety and comfort. The latter is further enhanced by the soft chin strap. The neck edge improves the sound insulation and significantly reduces the risk of whiplash. The lining is 100 polyester and removable.
No kit with reflective stickers is included in the box. The application of these stickers is mandatory in France. The lining is removable.
