The Defender Pro GTX builds on the Defender, which has delighted adventure riders worldwide for years. Clearly inspired by adventure, that won't stop you from setting off in all conditions. Commuters and more traditional asphalt eaters will also benefit.
The 2-layer construction consists of PWR|shell 750D with Teflon® coating and PWR|shell 1000D with Teflon, is lightweight, waterproof and extremely abrasion resistant. The removable GORE-TEX membrane makes this jacket suitable for all weather conditions. There is no removable thermo lining. Of course, adventure has to come from somewhere. Nothing prevents you from taking the necessary precautions when it gets too cold. The reverse - too hot - will be much less of a challenge. The ventilation panels are real, openable panels, which you click by means of a push button. You can also create a lot of ventilation on the arms and under the chest openings.
For a waterproof 2-in-1, the Defender is relatively light. The typical short cut prevents bulging in the front, while the back is slightly longer to cover the back. Room to move, comfort and flexibility make this all-rounder a very pleasant everyday companion. You can also adjust it any way you like. The collar has a flexi-snap. The upper and lower arms have adjustable straps. You can find the same straps on the flanks. A number of them are adjustable in height, so that 'it doesn't fit' or 'it pinches' is actually impossible.
At the waist you'll find an adjustable cord and as you'd expect, the sleeve ends also offer a choice to wear the gloves above or below the jacket.
The list of storage pockets is impressive. Storage pockets, side pockets, XL storage pocket on the back, inner pockets, a document pocket and an extra pocket on the left sleeve are all easily found. We'll let you find the "hidden pocket" we're talking about, but it's a sure thing that the Defender will allow you to take a few things with you.
SEEFLEX™ CE-level 2 certified protectors at the shoulders and elbows, and an abrasion-resistant shell all contribute to your safety, as does the SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector.
We end the description of the Defender Pro GTX with the list of extras, of which we can only say that it illustrates that this is an adventure partner that almost doesn't know its equal: the stretch materials for comfort, up to there. However, the Defender Pro GTX is prepared for the Connector NEON vest.
The short and double long connection zippers obviously allow you to combine in comfort and freedom.
