By equipping the Neptune 2 GTX - actually the improved successor of the Neptune GTX - with a removable, waterproof GORE-TEX Paclite® membrane, it is a suitable all-season jacket for serious motorcyclists. When the membrane is removed, the large, unzippable mesh panels (VCS|zippers) allow the riding wind to pass through, keeping the rider cool on hot days. Especially on the chest, you can really speak of 'openings'. If it gets colder, you just use the removable lining as extra insulation. Everything is possible. The exterior of the Neptune 2 GTX consists of wear- and tear-resistant high-density polyester 600D with a Teflon® coating. This is complemented by 450D polyester for extra reinforcement, where it counts.
For a waterproof 3-in-1 the Neptune is relatively light. The typical short cut prevents bulging in the front, while the back is slightly longer to cover your back. Room to move, comfort and flexibility make the Neptune 2 GTX a very pleasant everyday companion. You can adjust it any way you like. The collar has a flexi snap and the upper arms have two different snap closures to choose from. Underarms have an adjustable belt with buckle. Left and right you can center the jacket with similar adjustable straps. At the waist you'll find an adjustable cord and as you might expect the sleeve ends (zipper, button and velcro) also offer possibilities. Two very lockable, spacious front pockets and no less than five inner pockets (jacket-membrane-thermo lining) offer a lot of space. The extra pocket on the back keeps the membrane or lining always close at hand.
The elbow and shoulder protection has been upgraded from the original Neptune. SEEFLEX™ level 2, CE-rated impact protection is REV'IT!'s own award-winning protection. An optional SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector can be fitted in the prepared back, while the option of fitting SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 chest protectors is available up front.
Laminated reflective strips on the chest, upper arms and back ensure that you remain visible in dark conditions. Combined with fluorescent yellow patches, this already gives you great visibility. If desired, you can also upgrade your visibility with a Connector HV (high-visibility) REV'IT! vest.
Combination with the right pants is possible, thanks to the short and long connection zipper. Although the right pants for everyone may be different, the Neptune 2 GTX pants of the same name are a good choice here.
