The 'GTX XCR' membrane guarantees 100% dry and fresh feet. ‘XCR' stands for 'Extended Comfort Range', which is a three-layer GORE-TEX membrane that increases the already excellent breathability of Gore-Tex by another 25%.

The impact protection is more subtle than you might expect. Besides the internal shin protector, it's all about concrete reinforcements on the heel, toe and ankles. Alpinestars' rubber compound sole offers the perfect balance of grip and comfort, and one floor up, it's the removable EVA insoles that guarantee comfort yet adequate support.
Dry feet that enjoy a degree of ventilation and stay breathable for a long time slide in and out of a motorcycle boot a little easier anyway. In this case, the long zippers help of course. You find them on the inside, under the suede heat shield, which also prevents wear and tear on your motorcycle.
