The green Quattrotempi are the result of a cooperation between Hero and Sas-Tec. This resulted in an improved hip protector. Ergonomics, security, comfort and exclusivity are the four concepts that characterise this entire family, with various types of protectors.
Since its creation in 2004, the German manufacturer Sas-Tec has quickly become one of the market leaders in shock-absorbing protectors for the motorcycle industry. Sas-Tec knows better than anyone what motorcyclists need, because their two chief engineers have more than 25 years of experience as testers and writers for the major German ‘Motorrad’ magazine. This experience is the source of all the new products that Sas-Tec still brings to the market on a regular basis. Sas-Tec therefore stands for safety, confidence and innovation at the highest level.
This flexible green 3D hip protector is made of visco-elastic foam. Good shock absorbing properties are a fact, although with about 70 grams this is a lightweight. The residual force according to EN 1621-2 is about 15.5 kN (standard, level 2: 20 kN). This makes this hip protector about 25% better than the required minimum.
The hip protector is composed of segments attached to each other. For an optimal fit you place segments on the outside and the smooth side to the body. This way the protector adapts perfectly to the body. They are delivered in pairs.
Protectors are reusable, even after a fall, and can be easily washed and maintained.
