These GIVI Trekker top and side cases are part of the Monokey series. In this formula, it is a package of two cases, with the intention of mounting them as side cases on the left and right. The Trekker range consists of a number of different sizes of top and side cases, sometimes even interchangeable, to put together a set according to your own wishes. The TRK33N side cases can be combined with the Trekker 46 or 52 top cases to create a robust ensemble. This is often accompanied by words such as "a bit bulky" and "excessive", but in this case that does not apply. On the contrary. The Trekker combination remains remarkably light and compact thanks to its innovative design, while storage space is still impressive. In this version the cases largely have the typical aluminum color. Logical, because these are untreated aluminum cases. The Trekker side cases can be opened in two ways: you can open the entire lid or you only open the upper, smaller lid. This smaller lid is very handy when you want to take something out of the case quickly without having to open it completely. Every case comes standard with an elastic band that prevents the contents from scattering around. The Trekkers can be quickly and easily clicked onto a mounting kit designed specifically for your bike and locked into place. A single key operates a locking mechanism that both closes and locks the cases onto the case plate. In this Trekker with a (double) 33-liter capacity you can store a lot of luggage but you can't store a helmet. Who wants larger side case better aims their arrows to the Trekker 46 (as side case).
Many (and also this) GIVI side case sets come with an extra (third) lock. When you fit that into your (existing) top case, you have a complete case set that can be operated with a single key. Easy and practical.
There are a number of optional accessories for this case:
- Inner bag: this case can accommodate the handy inner bag T484C. The main advantage of an inner bag is that you can remove all the luggage from the case in one maneuver. If you want to check in at a hotel, you don't have to take the entire case into the room. You simply remove the inner bag (with everything inside) from your case and that's it...
- Back rest: your passenger will definitely prefer the soft back rest E118 to the hard case.
- Thermal stainless steel drinking bottle: real adventurers can be thirsty too sometimes. With the E162 holder you attach a thermal stainless steel drinking bottles to the side of this Outback top case.
- Safety lock: This case is already standard equipped with a security lock. Do you have several cases? Replace all the locks on all the cases with one and the same key.
- Plastic Jerrycan: You can carry up to 2.5 liters of water, oil or petrol in the GIVI Jerrycan. With the E149 holder in stainless steel, the Jerrycan is easily fixed onto this Trekker side case. Luggage net: With the T10 luggage net, you always have extra luggage capacity at hand. It has been specifically developed for use on cases or luggage racks. Regardless of the shape or size of your luggage, you can fit an amazing amount under this sturdy, elastic net.
- Attachment for luggage net: to attach the hooks of luggage net T10N, a E125 kit with four eyelets is available.
Maintenance tips: because this case is made of untreated aluminum, it requires a little more maintenance than a case made of plastic. For cleaning these cases we recommend S100 Moto Wash. NEVER use maintenance products that contain acids or other acidic agents. Such products cause dark stains which are very difficult to remove afterwards.
Watertightness: the GIVI side cases and top cases are not waterproof. They were awarded an IPX4 rating. Having the right expectations always helps prevent disappointment.
