FIM FRHPhe-01

The FRHPhe-01 inspection is an homologation imposed by the FIM for motorcycle helmets that are allowed to be used on the race track and in competitions. If you want to compete in races, you’ll need a motorcycle helmet with FIM homologation.

The FRHPhe-01 testing method focuses primarily on three topics: linear impact, lateral impact and penetration. It’s apparent that motorcycle helmets that comply with all three criteria are mainly found in the top segment of motorcycle helmets.

The FRHPhe-01 homologation for motorcycle helmets is clearly indicated with an official tag on the chin strap of approved motorcycle helmets. The manufacturer will often include this information but only the chin strap label is official proof.

The FRHPhe-01 homologation is independent of the traditional ECE22.05 and the recent ECE22.06 certifications every motorcycle helmet should possess.
