Chain maintenance isn't anyone's favourite pastime, but it heads off plenty of hassle. A dirty chain wears faster, gets noisier and ends up costing more than a can of cleaner and some lube. This S100 White Chain Spray Maintenance Kit gives you everything to clean and lubricate your motorcycle chain properly – at a steal of a price.
The chain cleaner (300 ml) tackles dirt and old grease with a self-cleaning foam formula. Spray it on, let it sit for a quarter-hour, brush stubborn spots if needed (no wire brush) and blast off with a strong water jet. Safe for O- and X-ring chains, acid-free and with anti-corrosion additives. Make sure to keep the cleaner away from brake discs and tyres, though.
The white chain spray 2.0 (400 ml) is the upgraded formula for all-conditions riding. It boasts four times better corrosion protection, extra adhesion booster for longer intervals and weather/water resistance from -30°C to +110°C. The chain grease stays put on the chain without flinging to rims or your clothing. It cuts friction and keeps O-, X- and Z-rings supple. Apply the white chain spray to a warm, dry chain (post-ride) and let it bond for at least 30 minutes – overnight if you can.
The U-shaped chain brush makes light work of it all. Position the brush on the chain, spin the rear wheel gently and it scrubs all three link sides at once. The long-bristled end does the heavy lifting, keeping your hands and garage floor cleaner than without.
