The MODEKA Edda II Lady is a short leather women’s motorcycle jacket that works both on and off the motorcycle. It combines AA‑certified protection with a style that stands out in the city without immediately shouting ‘motorcycle gear’.
Cowhide leather forms the basis of this motorcycle jacket, creating a solid yet supple chassis that is wear-resistant. Leather ‘lives’ and gradually moulds to your body, increasing comfort over time. AA certification under EN 17092‑3:2020 places the Edda II Lady in the higher safety class for motorcycle clothing and confirms that this leather motorcycle jacket is more than just a fashion piece with a few protectors.
The fit is what you would expect from a leather jacket: relatively close-cut without pinching. The back is cut slightly longer, which makes sense for riding a motorcycle. Accordion stretch above the elbows improves freedom of movement so the sleeves do not feel too tight. A central zip closes the motorcycle jacket, and the low collar deliberately has no extra fastening.
For ventilation, the Edda II Lady features an optional AirZip panel behind the main zip. This flap lets fresh air in on warmer rides and functions as a full-length ventilation opening. As a leather motorcycle jacket without a membrane, the Edda II Lady is best suited from spring to early autumn; there are lighter options for truly hot days and more insulated ones for winter use.
Leather and rain are always a tricky combination. The Edda II Lady will cope with a light shower but a prolonged motorway ride in heavy rain calls for different gear, while a few city raindrops are no issue of course. The detachable hood gives a casual hoodie look and is genuinely useful in everyday use.
SW Level 2 shoulder and elbow protectors are fitted as standard and provide CE‑certified impact protection. The back section is prepared for an optional SAS‑TEC SC‑1/FB2‑M back protector.
Storage is generous: two external zipped pockets and two internal pockets, one of which is ideal for a smartphone. Zips at the cuff let you decide whether to wear your motorcycle gloves over or under the sleeve. A jeans loop allows you to secure the motorcycle jacket to your belt, making it a natural partner for motorcycle jeans.
