The HELD Carese 3 is the Swiss Army knife of adventure motorcycle jackets. HELD claims this themselves, but it's spot on. The HELD Carese 3 Top does it all – and does it well. GORE-TEX, D3O Level 2 protectors, Cordura 500D and ventilation to die for: this is the motorcycle jacket you start off with in March and you use till November. Then head out again for round two.
The Cordura RipStop 500D shell delivers the wear-resistance you'd expect in this top-tier segment. Crash zones get extra Ripstop reinforcement. Stretch panels inside the arms and at the elbows free up movement without skimping on protection. Velcro the soft collar, tweak the cuffs and waist your way. The result? A snug fit where it counts and room to move where it matters. If you know HELD or have worn them before: the HELD Carese 3 fits like a dream.
Take out the Gore-Tex 3-layer membrane and wear it inside, over the top as a standalone rain coat, or leave it home when the sun shines. The HELD Carese 3 nails this over/under or in/out membrane trend. Layer it outside to keep the outer fabric dry; inside for the classic waterproof/breathable job. That versatility of the HELD Carese 3 spans early spring to late autumn – add base layers for winter too.
No fixed thermal liner is a deliberate choice: winter riders pick their own mid-layer, tailored just right.
No tailoring needed for the ventilation though – the HELD Carese 3 is performance-packed. It shines in the heat. Zips front, back and arms, plus ACS system and massive Megavent back panel. That's a huge 3D-mesh zone channelling air across your back. Open everything up and you're nearly in a mesh motorcycle jacket. The permanent Coolmax lining handles moisture meanwhile. This is an impressive range for an all-rounder, which is not a summer specialist.
Storage aplenty: two waterproof outer pockets, back stash pocket, two inners, a (quite generous) left forearm pocket and document slot. 'Chest pockets' double as vents (with a base so you can stash bits seasonally).
Impact protection from D3O T5 EvoProX at shoulders and elbows – CE Level 2 certified. The elbow protectors adjust vertically via the HPA system. Back and chest protectors are optional. This motorcycle jacket is certified to EN 17092:2020, and ready for Held eVest or eVest Pro airbags. SnapTech links an optional hoodie or collar, with 3M Scotchlite reflectors for visibility.
A connection zip pairs the HELD Carese 3 Top with matching trousers. No accident there. Together, they make a top-flight motorcycle gear set.
