The laminated REV’IT! Component 3 H2O motorcycle jacket is the latest evolution of REV’IT!’s popular adventure series, building on the proven success of the Component 1 and 2.
Motorcycle riders familiar with the earlier DIRT collection will notice that this third generation comes with a visual refresh: the Cordura® ripstop 3L panels and the (removable) hood are deliberately finished in a contrasting colour, creating a modern, technical look while highlighting the different material zones of the motorcycle jacket.
At its core, this highly purpose-built adventure motorcycle jacket still relies on the winning combination of PWR|Shell ripstop stretch 3L fabric with strategically placed Cordura® ripstop 3L reinforcements in high-impact zones. The laminated hydratex® 3L membrane ensures waterproofing without sacrificing breathability. Despite that protection, the Component 3 H2O remains impressively lightweight for an all-weather adventure motorcycle jacket.
For climate control, the Component 3 H2O motorcycle jacket is equipped with CFZ VCS Aquadefence vents on the upper arms along with a large ventilation opening across the back. A new feature is the ‘double’ central zip construction: opening the additional front flap creates a broad, directly ventilated zone to keep airflow at its maximum.
Safety is taken care of with SEESMART CE-Level 1 protectors on shoulders and elbows, integrated into soft spacer mesh pockets for comfort. The motorcycle jacket is also prepared to be fitted with an optional SEESOFT CE-Level 2 back protector. Neoprene reinforcements at key points, combined with reflective panels for improved visibility, complete the protection package. Naturally, this is built for adventure and off-road riding – not the impact levels of MotoGP.
Practicality comes in the form of two large zipped hand pockets and an internal storage pocket. Fit adjustment is available at the cuffs (Velcro) and waist (drawcord).
The adventure fit strikes the right balance: roomy enough for freedom of movement and layering protective gear underneath, yet snug enough to avoid excess flapping at motorway speeds. Disrespectfully referred to as ‘playground gear’, ‘technical premium off-road material’ in the other extreme.
Finishing touches include belt loops and a connecting zip, enabling secure pairing with the Component 3 H2O motorcycle trousers.
