The GMS Tylon SF WP is a winter motorcycle glove, built according to the trusted GMS philosophy: solid basic protection at a razor-sharp price. And this time, with just a little more under the bonnet than the price tag would suggest. Visually, the GMS Tylon SF WP comes close to a motorcycle racing glove.
Who is it for?
This motorcycle glove is intended for cold rides: commuting in winter, long trips in low temperatures, or simply riding when you notice that your summer or mid-season motorcycle gloves are no longer up to the job.
Material
The back of the hand is made from a combination of goatskin leather and polyester, providing a sturdy base with sufficient breathability. The palm is made of Pittards leather, a premium type of leather you would normally find on more expensive motorcycle gloves. The material is doubled in the most vulnerable areas for extra wear-resistance.
Protection
At the knuckles, there is a Superfabric® protector, a hard and wear-resistant material that provides impact protection. The palm receives additional reinforcement thanks to a Kevlar® insert and extra reinforcement along the edge of the palm. The motorcycle glove is certified to EN 13594:2015 Level 1, the basic level for motorcycle gloves on public roads.
Comfort & fit
An (elasticated) finger bridge between the fingers provides extra grip and control over your handlebars. This could also have been listed under 'Protection', however, we would not really go motorcycle racing with these motorcycle gloves.
Around the wrist, you close the Tylon SF WP with two Velcro straps on the long cuff, for a precise and snug fit. The Velcro is of high quality, and the elastic strap at the bottom of the gauntlet in particular is excellent.
Weather protection & ventilation
The Tylon SF WP features a HIPORA® membrane that is waterproof, windproof and breathable. A light polyester thermal lining keeps your hands warm during cold rides. The motorcycle glove has no separate ventilation openings, which suits its winter profile.
Practical details
Thanks to the smart touch function, you can operate your smartphone or navigation system without taking off the motorcycle glove. There is no real visor wiper.

The long cuff has been given a very good, elastic Velcro closure that lets the GMS Tylon SF WP fit snugly around your forearm and wrist without any trouble. As a result, putting on the GMS Tylon SF WP and heading off is no effort at all.
