Whoever wants the 'S' with double scorpion stitch knows that sporty designs and a light, modern helmet design come together perfectly in this SCORPION EXO-520 Air. This is an aerodynamic full-face helmet with integrated sun visor and Pinlock® lens, at a competitive price.
The helmet shell is polycarbonate and all helmet sizes are distributed over three helmet shells, resulting in 1550 grams on the scales. That seems more than it feels like and with all the features here, all in all, it's within reason. The aerodynamic lines of the narrow SCORPION EXO-520 Air are sharp and accentuate the existing vents.
The double chin vents are easy to operate without gloves thanks to the one big slider. The top ventilation is also easy to find. The incoming air cools the helmet down and then disappears via the rear air outlet. This is integrated into a small spoiler and remains open at all times.
The airflow comes into contact with air cushions inside the helmet which have a different role to play. SCORPION's Airfit system is an extra and we are fans. Through an air pump in the chin pad, you inflate the cushions to your liking. The valve next to the pump allows the air to escape.

The Ellipse Tec II system is the SCORPION name for the visor attachment system. The present, transparent visor is easy to operate with a central locking mechanism at the front which can be opened almost automatically and by feeling and falls ‘into the lock’ when you close the visor far enough. The good connection should also guarantee a clear view even in wet conditions. A Pinlock® lens with Maxvision is included with the motorcycle helmet.
With the term 'Speedview’, SCORPION is looking in the direction of an integrated sun visor. The slider can be found on the left, just behind the hinge point of the transparent visor. Up and down, it doesn't get any easier.
Kwickwick 2 is about the interior: fully removable, washable and hypoallergenic this, helmet interior regulates the internal moisture management in a way that is more than reassuring. To maintain this helmet, we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the exterior. To clean the interior without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches or dull visors cause blinding reflections from street lights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. In rainy weather this effect is even more pronounced. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to bring a replacement one with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
