All the sportiness and the motor-racing references of the Apex line, translated to a textile version. That's this waterproof Apex H2O motorcycle jacket from REV'IT! Daily ‘urban sport' usability, coupled with a sporty signature.
This is not a motorcycle jacket with race ambitions, and you'll feel it as soon as you take it off your coat rack. More than half as light as its leather namesake, this is an all-season coat, a commuter and a loyal touring partner. Not a speedster. It does pretend to be a bit of a motorcycle jacket that loves speed, but the options are broader.
That means the Apex H2O motorcycle jacket is better able to withstand different weather conditions. The abrasion-resistant textile (600D and 300 Dhexagonal) gets an integrated waterproof hydratex®|mesh G-liner membrane and so you are by no means limited to the dry days. A removable thermal lining guarantees a wider action radius. With two direct air vents on the underarms, you also get enough wind through the Apex H20 to go far even in summer. That is called versatility and it is an asset.
The Apex H2O motorcycle jacket is a daily companion. Think no more: hump, leather. Think zippered pockets, thermal lining and a little more space. The external elbow sliders are gone, the TPU shoulder sliders are still there. The rest of the impact protection remains excellent: SEESMART® Level 1 CE-protectors on the shoulders and elbows and who wants to an optional SEESOFT® CE back protector or SEESOFT Air® CE back protector. A step down from the track level but this is reflected in the lower price. For all intents and purposes: a step below circuit level remains amply sufficient for normal use on public roads.
The sleeve ends got a stripe of velcro, the adjustment possibility at the waist consists of a drawstring. For the collar and the adjustment option at the waist, REV'IT! chooses push buttons for the collar and upper arm adjustment option.
The cut of the Apex H20 is much more "textile" than its tighter, sharper leather counterparts. Traditionally, the back is longer than the front, although it is clear that the inspiration comes from the short racing jackets and motorcycle suits.
Reflective material is present in the form of a subtle element at the bottom of the back.
With the short connecting zipper and the double Belt Loop, you can connect this jacket with a pair of motorcycle jeans or textile REV'IT!-based motorcycle pants, should you wish to go for a complete look.
