With the RACE-R Pro, a replica of the helmet worn by former world champion Jorge Lorenzo, Shark is entering the realm of high-performance track racing. High speed, optimal visibility, stability and aerodynamics, combined with a high level of protection. And indeed, you can just use it on public roads as well (ECE-R 22/05).
The outer shell is made of carbon fiber (aramid), which has the important property of linking a high level of strength to a light weight. Ideal for a high-end racing helmet. The different helmet sizes are divided over two helmet shells. The result is a weight of only 1250 grams.
Jorge Lorenzo does not attach his name to just anything. Aerodynamics are good. Where needed or desirable, the helmet is equipped with deflectors and a de-doubled spoiler, in function of stability and less constant pressure on the body of the rider. The fact that improved stability directly contributes to better visibility - not unimportant on a race track. Hence the visor (optical class 1) with variable density and four anchor points, a patented safety option. In addition to the standard tear-off-ready transparent visor**, tinted visors , a transparent Pinlock visor, a Pinlock film and tear-offs are also available for the RACE-R Pro. The anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment is an obvious choice, as is the Microlock system.
Six air inlets at the front and at the top guarantee a constant supply of fresh air. Unless you don't want to, because they can be adjusted by means of sliding and tilting elements. A nose cap, chin spoiler and wind curtain chin are standard. At the bottom the neck rim is partly elastic, which ensures a good fit to the neck. The removable lining is of course washable and easy to maintain. The RACE-R Pro is equipped with cut-outs that will please spectacle-wearers. A Double-D ring buckle is finished off with a magnet.
This is a high-performance helmet for daily use, with a solid pedigree deeply rooted in competitive racing.
To maintain this helmet, we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the exterior. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
The reflective stickers to stick on the helmet, mandatory in France, are included.

Not Pinlock-ready!
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from street lights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
