'WB' stands for 'windbreaker' in the Quantum 2 WB motorcycle jacket, and that immediately sets its ambitions. With a fixed hood and especially Softshell on the outside, this is first and foremost a fun jacket. And you can ride a motorcycle while wearing it.
The REV'IT Quantum 2 WB is a kind of motorcycle jacket-light. Because motorcycle jackets usually weigh more and wear less softshell, and 'light' actually does this branch of the Quantum 2 family tree a bit of dishonor. That Softshell, by the way, is 3L and abrasion-resistant. Warm and safe, in plain conversation, and that will get you a long way.
The design and style are Quantum 2. Extended into a less aggressive, more urban context, but with great attention to detail and recurring themes and accents that clearly highlight the roots of this Quantum 2 WB. Still, this may be the homeliest of all the Quantum 2's descendants. The lack of leather plays a part in that, as does the hoodie. You can tighten those nicely and the strings hide themselves on the inside of the hem, so you don't risk poking yourself an eye out along the way. We can only imagine how REV'IT employees sit back, relax, and think, 'we did well’. We can only agree.
It's a hydratex® membrane that provides the wind blocking properties. More specifically hydratex®|WindBarrier®. Not the waterproof version. That's something to take into account. REV'IT! takes the wind-blocking qualities to the next level, with an additional wind stopper behind the central zipper and snugly fitting knitted waist and sleeve cuffs. Once again: the hoodie feeling.
Striking about the sleeve ends are the thumb loops, which prevent - in the unlikely event of a fall - the sleeve, and thus the protectors, from taking off. As far as the latter is concerned, you're safe. SEESMART Level 1 CE-protectors on the shoulders and elbows are more than sufficient and if desired a SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector can be fitted.
