The Quantum 2 Pro Air is quite obviously a brother to the Quantum 2 and to the Quantum 2 H2O, and all three are very much related to the Quantum 2 motorcycle suit. This Quantum 2 Pro Air motorcycle jacket is the most ventilated of the quartet.
With its aggressive, colorful design, this is by no means an inconspicuous appearance. Who wants to blend into the crowd is in the wrong place here.
The Quantum 2 Pro Air is the ventilated street version of the full one-piece suit of the same name. So it's a bit more accessible, just a bit more everyday wearable, with hump and a lot more practical at the coat rack. Without compromising on style and protection, but still clearly linked and closely related to everything that is MotoGP.
The Quantum 2 Pro Air motorcycle jacket is a cross between a full race jacket and an easy and quick to put on sporty everyday jacket. Perhaps even more so than its previously mentioned brothers, because the hump has stayed. This is no coincidence, as the entire shoulder and hump construction derives directly from the updated Quantum 2 motorcycle suit and thus incorporates PWR| Fuse Airmesh Technology, which acts like a chimney and allows warm air to escape fully.
So this is really just half of a full race suit, neatly cut around the middle, only you put on a motorcycle jacket just a little faster than a full motorcycle suit. REV'IT! effectively expresses that ambition too: this is for wearing every day.
That's why the Quantum 2 Pro Air jacket features a removable thermal body warmer, allowing you to hit the track more often and in cooler temperatures. Because track days usually coincide with 'perfect race conditions', and on the road you're out and about early in the morning or late at night. With this in mind, you'll find two zippered pockets, something that usually can't be found in a one-piece-suit. The vertical, reflective stripe on the back also illustrates that the main action area is next to the track.
The Quantum 2 Pro Air motorcycle jacket is thus first and foremost practical and - secondly - does not actually make any concessions in any other area. Race-derived shoulder and elbow pads (dual-comp), an outer shell in abrasion- and tear-resistant Monaco performance cowhide, and SEEFLEX Level 2 CE protectors on the shoulders and elbows guarantee high-level impact protection. Optionally, you can add a SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector and a SEESOFT CE-level 1 chest protector.
The leather is extensively laser-perforated, and has a striking snakeskin-look on the sides. At the front, REV'IT! opts for smoother leather. The inside of the sleeves - some of which are anatomically preformed - is made from PWR|Shell stretch material, to ensure freedom of movement and comfort. A new feature is the neoprene finish on the sleeve ends, to make them easier to slip under your gloves.
Of course, don't forget that a racing jacket straight from a racing suit should also feel tight, short and like a second skin. The leather velcro straps on the waist provide yet another adjustment option for that purpose.
Oh, and 'waterproof' is never the intention.
With the long and short connection zippers, and the Belt Loop, you can link this motorcycle jacket with a pair of motorcycle jeans or the Vertex GT pants, should you wish to go for a total look.
