The GIVI Trekker II is a versatile Monokey top and side case. Indeed, we wrote ‘and’: three pieces of the Trekker II are enough to equip the motorcycle quite completely, with a whole lot of extra luggage space as a result.
And because 'a whole lot' is difficult to measure: each GIVI Trekker II has a volume of 35 liters. That is spacious, but make no mistake: a bit of a motorcycle helmet won't fit in there. The lid of these aluminum Monokey-cases is clearly flattened and that goes at the expense of the practical helmet shape. Despite that is every Trekker II a blessing for those who are looking for a spacious, yet compact, relatively flat case.
The Trekker II of GIVI is a cross between urban and adventure. The rounded shapes will make zipping through a traffic jam on the ring road just a little bit easier than if you opted for the rectangular cases.
It opens 90 degrees and comes standard with an elastic band that prevents the contents of the case from exploring every nook and cranny. The Monokey system remains very practical: one key for everything. The locking mechanism both closes the case and locks it onto the plate or side pannier mount.
The Trekker II is available with a lid in anodized aluminum or all completely black. Prominent plastic elements keep it all relatively light and yet sturdy.
The GIVI Trekker is available as a set - per two side cases - or as an individual case - if it is to be mounted on the top case plate.
Each GIVI Trekker II can be equipped with a Inner bag T484C. An inner bag has the great advantage that you can remove all the luggage from the case in one operation. If you want to check in at a hotel, you don't have to carry the entire case to the room. You simply remove the inner bag (with everything inside) from your case and that's it...
Maintenance tips: because this case contains panels made of aluminum it needs a little more maintenance than a case made entirely of plastic. For cleaning these cases we recommend S100 Moto Wash. NEVER use maintenance products that contain acids or other corrosive agents.
Watertightness: the GIVI side cases and top cases are not waterproof. They were awarded an IPX4 rating. Having the right expectations always helps prevent disappointment.
