REV'IT developed a somewhat exceptional leather motorcycle jacket with the Glide. Right in the middle between everyday street use and sporty racing vibes. On the way to work, with MotoGP technology on board, that's what it is.
The result is worth seeing. And will undoubtedly be seen too. A touch of retro and with hand selected cowhide leather and the ample presence of stretch material (PWR|SHELL) this is just a bit more user friendly and suitable for daily use than the full-blooded racing clothes in which you have to push yourself with a shoehorn. The Glide is also a fraction longer: again, in function of daily use.
Purely on looks however it all seems very fast and sharp. The Glide can be placed next to any racing jacket. It will be the connoisseur who will notice that there are no external elbow pads. Or that there is removable thermal lining. And two zippered pockets. The shoulder inserts will cause some doubts ... It's all clever, and put together with a lot of attention to detail.
It's all good too. Leave no doubt about that. SEEFLEX™ Level 2-CE protectors at the shoulders and elbows have more than proved their worth in the REV'IT! range. The Glide is prepared to accept an optional SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector, and a SEESOFT™ CE-level 1 chest protector can be added if desired.
There are not many adjustment options. Velcro on the waist and on the sleeve ends let's you choose to either wear your gloves over or in the jacket. A short and long connection zipper are available (Apex trousers), although the combination with a good pair of motorbike jeans also seems a logical choice, so REV'IT! has provided a Belt Loop.
