The Target H2O is the bigger brother of the Target Air. Equally black, equally dark and maybe a little more versatile. Mind you: they are different in the first place. And they complement each other. That's how it goes with brothers.
The Target H2O is clearly the better upholstered of the two. Although the Target Air is also a sturdy one, the Target H20 can fall back on a large share of tear- and abrasion resistant polyester and that helps if you want to make 'waterproofing' your most important asset. The presence of a Hydratex® Z-liner membrane is a big plus. It turns the H2O version into a multi-season jacket. Especially because you have access to the removable thermal lining and a couple of well placed ventilation openings with zipper. Suddenly a lot becomes possible.
The Target H2O clearly falls from the same tree as the Air. Black, with prominent shoulder sliders on the outside and large chunks of leather, neither make any effort to hide the fact that they love sportiness. The H2O is perhaps just that tad less edgy, with removable hood and a bit more fabric, but largely makes up for that with the customization options on the upper arms and waist.
The result is basically a racing jacket that has more options and application. With all the logical protection material: SEESMART™-level1 protectors on the shoulders and elbows are standard. A SEESOFT™ level 2 back protector and even a SEESOFT™ level 1 chest protector can be fitted without any problem, if you want to emphasize the sporty character of the Target H2O. That is not necessary. You can also just put on a pair of motorcycle jeans and go for a relaxed Sunday outing. A short connection zipper and Belt Loop keep almost every option open.
The last paragraph is pretty much the same as with the Target Air, which makes perfect sense. Actually, the two complement each other, even overlapping quite a bit. A bit like brothers.
Note the fine play of colors in the laminated reflection material. The sense of finish. The subtle details that you seem to keep discovering despite the seemingly dark first impression.
