The most functional jacket ever. And that's pretty much it. But okay, we'd like to clarify that strong statement. In developing the Dominator GTX jacket, REV'IT! took the Engineered skin® design philosophy to the next level.
World travelers and off-road veterans provided feedback on the design of this jacket, so they’ve thought of everything. Water in the first place. The laminated GORE-TEX makes the jacket 100% waterproof.
Laminated GORE-TEX means that a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane is bonded (laminated) directly to the shell fabric. This ensures that water will not find its way in, the jacket will not weigh you down, and will dry extremely quickly. This is close to perfection when it comes to protection from the rain.
The 3-layer GORE-TEX is supplemented and reinforced on the outside with 600D, Kevlar, Armacor and Talisman. Often preceded by the prefix 'Pro', you know that the Dominator GTX has a wear- and tear-resistance that is almost unparalleled. Completed with standard SEEFLEX™ level 2 CE-protectors and a SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector, Dominator looks more like armor than a jacket, judging by the impressive list.
But make no mistake: in armor, a knight could hardly move. The Dominator GTX allows you to do just that. The right material in the right place, plenty of stretch and accordion fabric, and customization options that seem to go on infinitely. In an attempt to list them in part anyway: the flexisnap at the collar, height-adjustable straps on the flank and on the upper and lower arms are the most important; they basically allow you to customize the entire Dominator. If this jacket doesn't fit perfectly, it's not because of the jacket. Noteworthy are the removable cuffs in stretch material that shield your hands and wrists from the weather elements, thus keeping your entire arm and upper body temperature up.
The innovative VCS | aquadefence system with FidLock® magnetic closure, provides excellent ventilation when open. When riding, it can easily be closed watertight with one hand. The aquadefence consists of a 'gutter' around the ventilation hole, preventing moisture from entering. The traditional VCS|Zipper system provides extra ventilation openings. ‘All-round' is actually an underestimation when it comes to the Dominator GTX.
Should we ever ride our bikes to China, this will be our first choice.
The jacket is prepared for Vest Connector HV and the Challenger cooling vest. The Dominator GTX comes standard with a removable kidney belt. Excuse me? - Yes. You never know what road you'll get under your wheels on the way to China. The space you have to store your belongings is unimaginable. Side pockets, storage pockets, a sleeve pocket, inner pockets, backpack, hidden pocket (that we'll let you discover for yourself) ... There's plenty to go around.
This description is not complete. With a jacket like the Dominator GTX it can't be. We're sure that - still on our way to China - somewhere halfway Mongolia we'll discover more. The longer we look, wear and feel, the more we are convinced that this is indeed the most functional jacket ever.
The short and double long connection zippers also allow you to combine in comfort and freedom. The Dominator 2 GTX pants are undoubtedly the first choice.
