A 'one-piece suit' is what the name implies: a (racing) suit that combines pants and jacket in one piece. Indivisible, because that's the idea. Generally, you will not see many touring riders wearing this. This is more for gentlemen who prefer a sporty (read: fast) seat on their motorcycle.
The focus here is on the graphics, and texture - with different layers, which gives a pretty unique and certainly full result. Leather is the 'weapon of choice' when we get near the track, and it almost doesn't get any closer than the REV'IT Triton. Monaco performance cowhide makes up the largest piece of the suit. It's as abrasion and tear resistant as it gets. And in this case perforated, for good air circulation.
Of course, cocooning yourself in a full cowhide leather suit is highly impractical, so REV'IT has added PWR shell stretch material in all the right places, providing great freedom of movement and especially comfort. Pieces of accordion fabric above the elbows and knees further enhance these features. The goal? Attacking every corner and hanging on to the bike as smoothly as possible. Knee to the ground, please.
This is perfectly possible thanks to the dual-compound knee sliders, where the softer element allows the rider to feel the curbstones without a problem. The real artists can also put their elbow to the ground, because with the 'dual-comp elbow sliders' you do that too and without hesitation. Both provide enough reference points to allow you to really push the boundaries of physics. The sliders on the shoulders ensure that it continues to go well, even if you lose the center of gravity along the way. You can also easily replace the elbow sliders, something which is always the case with knee sliders.
Apart from the external and most conspicuous protection, you can of course also rely on a lot of internal safety equipment. SEESMART CE-level 1 protectors on the hips are standard, just like the BETAC CE-level 1 protectors under the sliders on knees, shoulders and elbows. All three are height adjustable. For those who still need more: the Triton is prepared to be fitted with an optional SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector and can also accommodate a SEESOFT CE-level 1 chest protector.
It doesn't have to be said that it can get pretty warm on and off the track. The mesh fabric on the shoulders of the REV'IT Triton suit acts as a heat sink. Warm air rises, even inside a suit, and leaves the suit via this route. If it still gets too hot, the hump doubles as a water carrier. A zipper on the hump allows you to put a water bag or a camelbag inside. And if - despite all these measures - you should encounter unpleasant odors after a tough ride, you can easily remove the lining from the one-suit and give it a wash.
Flat zippers on the calves and at the end of the sleeves give you a perfect fit. The print is based on Alvaro Bautista's MotoGP suit.
In short: visually very strong, optimal protection and comfort, and with a very impressive attention to detail.
