The Vertex GT makes no effort to hide the fact that its origins lie somewhere around or on the race track. It doesn't have to, although this is more than 'just' a sporty-looking leather jacket. The 2-in-1 offers many possibilities.
With the Vertex GT, REV'IT! clearly opts for a sporty cut. It's tight, close-fitting and short, and that's how it should feel - especially at first try. The white stripes, logo shoulders and padded collar look like they come straight from a racing suit. The Vertex GT has a removable thermal body warmer to keep you warm when needed. The partially perforated exterior (chest and back) provides ventilation on warmer days. And in between, there are a lot of pleasant motorcycle miles.
The Monaco Performance cowhide exterior is complemented by stretch fabric on the inside of the sleeves to ensure a tight but proper fit. The partially perforated exterior shows a striving for comfort, which is also visible in the well-finished sleeve ends. Safety and comfort go hand in hand.
SEEFLEX™ Level 2 CE protectors at the shoulders and elbows have more than proved their worth in the REV'IT! range. The Vertex GT is prepared to add an optional SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector, and you can also attach a partialSEESOFT™ CE-level 2 chest protector if you wish.
You don't need a lot of extra adjustment options. Velcro at the waist is all you need, and a short zipper with velcro flap at the sleeve ends lets you choose whether to wear your gloves on top or underneath. Two zippered side pockets and an inner pocket offer some storage, though the idea is not to cram half your stuff into a jacket that looks like the top half of a race suit.
A short and long connection zipper are present(Vertex GT trousers), although the combination with a good pair of motorbike jeans also seems to be a logical choice. Hence the presence of an elastic connection loop. The Safeway 2 can also be a good option in that perspective.
