The GIVI Trekker Dolomiti side case is part of the Monokey series. This new set consists of two side panniers, made of untreated aluminium, with a 72 litre total capacity. The Dolomiti is a spacious and convenient aluminium side case that fits perfectly into today's trend of adventurous looking motorcycles. Accessible, extremely shock-resistant and with impressive looks. Sturdy but also elegant and convenient, with numerous accessory options and nylon attachment points (belt guides) for carrying additional luggage on top of the cases.
Many GIVI pannier sets come with an additional (third) lock, and so do these. When you install that in your current top case, you have a complete case set that can be operated with a single key. Easy and convenient.
By default, this aluminium case opens at the top. When these side cases are used in combination with a large top case, the pannier lids may not open completely. For these situations, the Dolomiti are fitted with a special hinge system that allows the lid to be lifted completely. The Dolomiti is quickly and easily clicked onto a mounting kit specially designed for your motorcycle and with one single key the case is closed and locked onto the pannier mounting plate. The Dolomiti can be attached to all GIVI PL and PLR case holders with the supplied adapters. This means that many motorcycles - recent and older models - can now be equipped with these aluminium cases. The capacity of 36 litres for each pannier allows you to store quite a lot of luggage. Most helmets won't fit, but everything else probably will. And your top case may be able to store one or two helmets anyway.
There are a number of optional accessories for this case:
- Inner bag: due to its complex construction, the Outback case is not guaranteed to be completely waterproof. The T506 waterproof inner bag is. An inner bag also ensures greater comfort. When you arrive at a hotel, you can leave the pannier on the bike. Simply lift the inner bag with everything inside out of your pannier and you're ready to go.
- Luggage nets: make good use of the inside of the pannier lids and mount a luggage net E144, so you can store lots of small items inside. The T10N luggage net is perfect for mounting luggage on top of the case.
- Stainless steel thermal bottle: even real adventurers still need their hydration. By fitting the E162 holder to the side of this Outback top case, you can bring a thermal stainless steel bottlewith you.
- Safety lock: this case is already equipped with a safety lock as standard. Do you have multiple cases? Replace the locks of all the cases and lock them all with the same key.
- Reflective stickers: For more visibility in the dark, use this set of E145 reflective stickers. They fit perfectly on the angled corners of these cases.
- A backpack: T521 This backpack has a capacity of 15 litres and stores in the lid of the top case.
Maintenance tips:
Because this case is made of untreated aluminium, it needs a little more maintenance than a case made of plastic. For cleaning these cases we recommend S100 total cleaner. NEVER use cleaning products that contain acids or other corrosive substances, as these will cause dark stains which are very difficult to remove.
