Suppose you like to look sporty, ride a sporty motorcycle, but have already experienced at first hand that a real racing jacket has some shortcomings when it comes to comfort, all-round usability and ease of use. Not to worry. That's why REV'IT developed the Vertex H2O.
Product names with 'H2O' already give it away: water plays a part. In this particular case, it's about water resistance. The Vertex H2O has - apart from its looks - all the characteristics of a touring jacket that can be used in all seasons.
The outer fabric is a well thought-out combination of polyester 600D and polyester 600D wax coated, resulting in a very durable jacket, which already has a number of water resistant properties. 'Water resistant' and 'staying dry' are not synonymous, however, so REV'IT outfitted the Vertex H2O with a non-removable, waterproof and breathable hydratex® | G-liner membrane. A zip-off thermal liner is used on colder days, while VCS zippers on the arms and back vents provide ventilation on warmer days. A full-length, double zipper with water catcher further enhances the jacket's waterproof properties.
The Vertex H2O got a race style, which means: short and tight. Adjustment options are available in the form of velcro strips at the waist and sleeve ends. On the upper arms you have an extra press button, just like on the collar. Two front pockets with zippers and an inner pocket in both jacket and lining provide ample storage space.
As far as impact protection is concerned, the two TPU protectors on the shoulders are undoubtedly the most striking. They reinforce the link with racing. Less visible but no less important are the SEESMART™ Level 1 CE protectors on the shoulders and elbows. The Vertex H2O is also prepared for an upgrade to the SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector - Type RV at the back. The typical laminated reflection of the logo on the back ensures that you remain visible in the evening and at night.
Combination with the right pants is possible thanks to the short connecting zipper. And although 'right' is probably different for everyone, the Factor 4 is a good choice in this case anyway. However, nothing precludes combining the Vertex H2O with a good pair of motorcycle jeans. REV'IT has provided two jeans loops in the jacket for this purpose.
