The Interphone SYNC55 is a 5.5-inch multimedia display for your motorcycle. This screen brings all the functionality of your smartphone to your handlebars, without needing your phone mounted there. Your smartphone stays safe in your pocket or bag, while the SYNC55 display syncs via Bluetooth and WiFi with CarPlay or Android Auto.
Navigation, music, messages, calls, everything appears immediately on a larger, easier-to-read screen that’s specifically designed for motorcycle use.
The 5.5-inch touchscreen is optimised for use with motorcycle gloves. That sounds logical, but many touchscreens work poorly or not at all with gloves. The SYNC55 claims to do this, and from what we’ve seen, it seems to succeed. The screen responds exactly as you’d expect, even with thick winter gloves.
The housing is IP66 certified, offering protection against splashes and dust. Ideal for all the weather you ride your bike through, though it’s not for deep-sea diving. It’s also smart to take the screen with you if you need to shelter somewhere.
The compact design – 150x77x17 mm and just 182 grams – provides a discreet and aerodynamic fit on your handlebars. It’s not much bigger than many smartphones. The Interphone SYNC55 has practically no impact on the riding experience.
The SYNC55 can be connected directly to your motorcycle’s battery or powered via USB. The Quiklox handlebar mount is included and makes installation simple. If this mount isn’t ideal for your motorcycle, alternative mounts are available. The Quiklox system guarantees easy fitting and flexibility.
After an update, you can use and view the Interphone SYNC55 in both horizontal and vertical mode. Without the update, ‘horizontal’ is the normal setting.
The connection to your smartphone works via Bluetooth and WiFi for seamless synchronisation. CarPlay (Apple) and Android Auto (Google) are both fully supported.
So, you have access to all your phone’s features, without exposing it to the elements. Safer, more practical and, according to some, even clearer.
When you buy it, you receive the SYNC55 device, the Quiklox handlebar mount, a 12V DC power cable, a USB-A power cable, a USB-C power cable and a user manual.
