The GT‑R 4 Air is the direct successor to its predecessors, keeping what worked well and updating what could be improved. The biggest change is the use of softshell in strategic areas, which makes this sporty ventilated motorcycle jacket even more comfortable.
No‑nonsense the GT‑R 4 Air already was, and it still is. Motorcycle jackets that carry the word ‘air’ in their name naturally do not focus on warmth or waterproofing. This is a short, lightweight summer motorcycle jacket for warm‑weather rides. REV’IT! borrows a number of elements from the sporty segment, adds extensive ventilation and a high level of protection and offers it all at a sharp price.
The GT‑R 4 Air has a wear‑ and tear‑resistant outer shell with polyester 600D on the crucial zones. New here is the use of softshell panels, which add extra comfort and give the motorcycle jacket a modern, updated look. ‘Mesh ballistic’ and ‘3D air mesh’ on chest, back and arms provide a (high) level of airflow. This makes extra zips or dedicated ventilation openings unnecessary and ensures the motorcycle jacket breathes as it should when temperatures rise.
Because this is also a motorcycle jacket you wear when it is almost too hot to wear one at all, the focus – besides ventilation – is on low weight and good protection. With only the essentials present, you do not need a lot of adjustment options. Even so, REV’IT! wouldn’t be REV’IT! if there wouldn’t be any Velcro straps at the waist and press studs on the sleeves to make the GT‑R 4 Air fit snugly and securely. You can be sure this GT‑R 4 Air will not be a flapping layer around your body. With an internal pocket and two zipped front pockets you can also take some essentials with you on the road.
In terms of impact protection there are no concessions: SEESMART Level 1 CE protectors on shoulders and elbows have already proven their effectiveness. This motorcycle jacket is prepared for an optional SEESOFT CE Level 2 back protector. At the back, the GT‑R 4 Air features reflective material in the form of the logo.
A short connection zip is provided, allowing you to pair it with virtually any REV’IT! motorcycle trousers, although in practice motorcycle jeans will often be the preferred option. For that reason, there is also a belt loop.
There's maintenance clothing, and then there's clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
