The Alpinestars Explore AST Pants are lightweight adventure motorcycle trousers. 'For warm weather', it states explicitly. These are thin motorcycle trousers that are AA-certified and equipped with knee and hip protectors.
You could argue that the Explore AST Pants lean more towards motorcycle jeans trousers than full-fledged motorcycle trousers. Nevertheless, this is definitely the latter. The motorcycle trousers are constructed from stretch ripstop material: lightweight, abrasion-resistant and flexible. Extra ripstop reinforcements on knees and seat provide resistance against wear and tear.
The cut is fairly straight, although the Alpinestars Explore AST Pants perhaps most closely follow the natural motorcycle riding position. That's what they are for, after all. That doesn't mean you wouldn't want to be seen in them off the motorcycle. On- and offroad, but also when you step off the motorcycle and want to continue a bit on foot. The Alpinestars Explore AST Pants are no tuxedo trousers, but they exude a certain style. The Nucleon Flex Plus protectors (CE level 1) being flexible, ventilated and height-adjustable and quickly removable via externally accessible protector pockets helps a hand too. On the hips is Bio-Flex protection, also CE level 1.
With two hand pockets and two cargo pockets you can store something in them. The cargo pockets also serve as ventilation openings. At waist height, besides plenty of stretch, there is also a traditional press stud with zip and wide belt loops.
At the bottom, the trouser leg is equipped with long zips. Together with the stretch material, this makes it easy to get in and out of the Explore AST Pants. The cut, the style and the finish ensure that you mainly wear these motorcycle trousers on their own. Not over something else.
