The SPIDI Hoodie Warrior Tex motorcycle hoodie sets a new benchmark for high-performance riding hoodies. Its exceptional modularity and the comfort it offers genuinely redefine what a hoodie can be.
This is almost a lightweight multi-season motorcycle jacket. The materials list includes stretch fabrics, triple-layer Softcell, and polar microfleece—combining to deliver an ideal balance of comfort and functionality. A laminated Windout membrane offers added protection from the elements, while four ventilation zips provide airflow when needed. Add a (detachable) hood, and you already have a surprisingly versatile piece of motorcycle gear in what appears to be a straightforward hoodie.
And it doesn’t stop there. Thanks to SPIDI’s STEP-INWEAR system—which makes roughly three-quarters of their gear interchangeable—you can further adapt your protection against the weather. Optional waterproof and thermal liners are available to tailor it to your riding conditions.
The SPIDI Hoodie Warrior Tex motorcycle hoodie includes several features you’d expect from a proper motorcycle jacket, though the knitted cuffs—complete with thumb loops—are more typical of a hoodie. The elongated rear section that keeps your lower back covered while riding definitely leans back towards jacket territory. Keeping up so far?
As for impact protection, it’s very much present. The motorcycle hoodie’s sporty DNA shows clearly in the external Warrior Shield sliders. You’ll also find removable CE Level 2 Warrior Lite protectors at the shoulders and Warrior L2 Basic Level 2 armour at the elbows. There’s a provision for fitting a Warrior back protector (Level 1 or 2), and dual chest protection is also a viable upgrade. 3M reflective details provide added visibility for night rides.
You get a couple of zipped hand pockets and an internal storage pocket which, according to SPIDI, is waterproof.
This is quite the hefty motorcycle hoodie—so much so, it’s bordering on being a fully-fledged motorcycle jacket.
