There’s no need to stress about the weather in the morning, that much is clear. This motorcycle jacket handles heat, rain, and almost everything in between. The outer shell is a strong combination of high-resistance polyamide mesh and 1.1–1.2 mm thick cowhide leather. Yes, that’s the same premium-grade material SPIDI uses for their championship-level motorcycle race suits. Here, the unique combination guarantees both breathability and maximum protection. A dose of Softcell fabric — a flexible multi-layer textile — adds mobility. The punched mesh construction features countless micro-ventilation openings that ensure continuous airflow.
The removable H2Out layer — we hesitate to even call it a “membrane” — is breathable and waterproof, and like many SPIDI layers, can be worn independently. Whether underneath or over the jacket, it’s completely modular. It’s so standard with SPIDI’s STEP-INWEAR concept — which applies to nearly three-quarters of their range — that we almost forget to mention it. A thermal liner is not included as standard in the SPIDI Leather H2Out Intersection motorcycle jacket, but can be added separately.
This motorcycle jacket is CE-certified to EN 17092-3:2020, Class A, and comes equipped with Level 2 Warrior Light protectors on shoulders and elbows. There’s room for a CE-certified back protector, and even chest protection is possible. Reflective areas in 3M® Scotchlite® material enhance visibility for night-time rides.
The sporty, short cut of this motorcycle jacket doesn’t demand a tonne of adjustment options. The collar (two press studs), cuffs (zip and snap closure), and waist (strap with buttons) give you just enough room to fine-tune the fit. Two zippered slash pockets and one inner pocket offer storage space.
